Only two transfers who left the Miami football program since the beginning of the 2021 season were regraded as blue-chip players by 247 Sports. Defensive tackle Nesta Jade Silvera who transferred to Arizona State and running back Cody Brown who is now at Virginia were still graded four-star players by 247 Sports.
Defensive end Akheem Mesidor who transferred to Miami from West Virginia is the only four-star transfer the Hurricanes added during the 2022 offseason. Several of the other transfers Miami has added during the 2022 offseason have produced well enough to be rated as four-star players.
UCLA transfer Mitchell Agude and Mesidor are projected to star at DE. Miami is also expected to start cornerback Darryl Porter Jr. and linebacker Caleb Johnson from UCLA on defense. Miami added 11 transfers total during the 2022 offseason. The Hurricanes have four new transfers on offense and seven on defense for 2022.
Miami lost 16 transfers since the beginning of the 2021 season. Central Florida wide receiver visited Miami this week and will announce his next destination on Sunday. Offensive linemen Jonathan Denis and Logan Sagapolu are the only transfers Miami signed who are inexperienced.
