The organisers of the Cycle Show have announced that this year’s event is “no longer viable” and that the show will try again in April of 2022.
The Alexandra Palace event has yet to debut having been announced first in pre-Covid times, alongside the The London Ebike Festival, which having initially been intended as a standalone event is now bundled in to the long-standing show.
“We have been working hard over the last couple of weeks, and unfortunately following discussions with exhibitors and the venue, we have established that it is no longer viable to run The Cycle Show in June 2021,” said the organisers this week.
“We are currently working on plans for an exciting NEW outdoor cycling event this August at Alexandra Palace.
“In the meantime, we hope you are enjoying our weekly updates and we thank you for your continued support of the shows.”
The 2022 indoor event has now been booked into Alexandra Palace for April 22nd to 24th. Tickets for this are already on sale.
No reason has yet been given for the cancelation, but it’s safe to say event organisers have been tracking Covid closely and confidence in being able to deliver satisfactory events has been on thin ice for some time.
