Tigers prospect Gage Workman hit for the cycle on Sunday, accomplishing one of baseball's rare feats.

Workman's cycle came for the Low-A Lakeland Flying Tigers in their 20-7 win over the Bradenton Marauders, the Pirates' Low-A affiliate.

It was an even more unexpected cycle than usual -- Workman recorded two of the four hits in the ninth inning, as Lakeland scored 12 runs in the frame, allowing him to bat twice.

The 21-year-old third baseman, who was DHing on Sunday, started things off with a triple in the third inning. Workman then homered in the sixth inning, singled in his first at-bat of the ninth and doubled in his second at-bat of the ninth to complete the cycle.

Workman, Detroit's fourth-round Draft pick in 2020, is ranked the Tigers' No. 12 prospect by MLB Pipeline. He's now batting .288 with a .911 OPS this season.
