EAST PALESTINE — Brittain Motors Chevrolet continued its efforts to improve and beautify the village by making a $14,000 contribution to the Town and Country Garden Club last week.

Past donations from Brittain Motors Chevrolet have funded park decorations, village beautification projects, Christmas ornaments, flowers and the large pots along the center of town.

“They have got a lot of work done and have done a spectacular job in the last few years,” Brittain said.

Recently Town and Country Garden Club has expanded the Snowflake Festival into the East Palestine City Park along with restarting the Christmas Home Tours.

“We want it all hometown friendly,” East Palestine Town and Country Garden Club member Bev Leake commented.

The donation is made on behalf of Chevy All Star Dealers and Brittain Motors Chevrolet. Brittain uses funds otherwise allocated to advertising towards the betterment of the community.

“We help the community, the community helps us,” Tom Brittain remarked.

Brittain encourages community members to join the Town and Country Garden Club. Many members are aging and the village is getting larger as improvements are made.

Leake wants community members to see the beautification of the village and feel a sense of pride and encouragement.

“Men and women should join to help with the projects that are online for this coming year,” Brittain suggested.

Brittain Motors Chevrolet has been in the village for 96 years since 1925 and strives to make the community a desirable and beautiful location.

Tom Brittain values maintaining a fresh, clean, welcoming look throughout the village and wants to see more people choose the village as a place to live and work.

“It gets people involved throughout the community and it beautifies the city,” East Palestine Town and Country Garden Club member Barb Webb said.

Town and Country Garden Club is accepting new members. Leake emphasizes community residents with a variety of experiences are needed. Interested residents with a willingness to learn and work hard are encouraged to join.
